Tips for Location Owners

Making Players Profile Private

To keep your players golf statistics’ from being viewed by the general public your player can do the following:

  • Select  My Account (bottom left,  green box)
  • Select Update Player Profile (blue button)
  • Select Yes instead of No for the first option regarding securing the profile

 Enter Scores Manually

This is a good tip to remember if the system is down and the scores cannot make it to the server. You can enter the scores manually if you have kept track. Be sure to keep track of the gross scores. The system accepts gross scores for the purpose of calculating the net score. Also, if playing on E6 or in a tournament on LS3 that does not allow Mulligans, this feature can help you compensate for any issues during the game.

  • Go to www.fullswinggolftour.com/admin
  • Enter your Login and Password
  • Click on Sign In to access the Online Management Suite

  • Enter the number one for game team
  • Enter the score for each hole
  • Click on the Save Calculate button
  • Go back to the previous page and click on the Player’s Print Scorecard

If your tournament is in Progress, your steps are completed.

If your tournament is already closed, the system will prompt you to reopen the tournament and remind you to re-complete it after you modify your score. Re-completing your tournament will assure that leaderboard positions are re-calculated and all handicap calculations are made.

How to Merge Multiple Player Accounts

Often times a player will inadvertently enter a different email address when registering through the simulator and create multiple player accounts. When multiple accounts are created it causes problems with the scoring because it splits the scoring among the accounts. In this case, you will want to merge the accounts into one. It is always a good idea to check your members list under Members in the Online Management Suite for duplicate player accounts and merge them to avoid any confusion. We highly recommend this be done prior to the start of entering the FSG International League or any major tours or tournaments.

  • Go to www.fullswinggolftour.com/admin
  • Enter your Login and Password
  • Click on Sign In to access the Online Management Suite
  • Click on the Manage Members Go button
  • Use the search filters to find the Player you want to keep
  • Once you find the Player account you want to keep, click on the Player’s Name
  • Under the General tab, click on Merge Player
  • Click on the blue arrow to search for and select the Player account you want to merge and delete
  • You can filter by: First Name, Last Name, Player Id , Email Address and Country
  • Once you’ve identified the player account you want to merge and then delete, click on the User ID to merge the player

Note: Please remember to select the appropriate User ID because once you have made your selection it can’t be undone.

  • Click on Merge Player to complete your steps
  • A message will appear “Merge Players Successfully Completed”

Tips to Understanding the Handicap Scoring System

  • The indoor handicap calculation is based on a minimum of three completed rounds (that are closed )  in any 9 or 18 hole online tournament or practice round
  • The handicap index differential takes into consideration two factors:  The slope and rating of each course as well as the Equitable Stroke Index. The Equitable Stroke Index prevents certain holes from getting more than a certain amount of strokes off depending on the handicap of the hole. Equitable Stroke Index is only applied after the round is completed
  • Handicap indexes are computed every Sunday night after the tournament has closed
  • If the tournament goes longer than a week, your handicap will not be calculated until after the tournament is completed
  • The calculation formula is: gross score x slope/rating
  • Up to 20 of the player’s rounds are collected
  • From the completed rounds, a combined set of the best scores are selected

Shortcut to using a handicap: You are welcome to enter your players’ outdoor golf handicap score into the system while they develop their indoor golf handicap. Refer to (Enter a Handicap Manually Prior to Acquiring an Indoor Handicap).

  • If the system calculates your handicap based on a nine hole round, it takes your handicap of let’s say 10 and divides that in half to take five strokes off of your score instead of 10
  • After a round has been played, a handicap differential index is computed which is different from your handicap score. The handicap differential index is used for the next round of golf played

Enter a Handicap Manually Prior to Acquiring an Indoor Handicap

If you have a new customer who wants to start playing Online Tournaments and use their outdoor handicap until they acquire an indoor handicap, you can manually enter their outdoor handicap in the Online Management Suite. This handicap will remain in place until they acquire an indoor handicap after playing three 9 or 18 hole rounds, and after the rounds have closed.  Please note: The handicap can no longer be modified after a player has acquired an indoor golf handicap.

Please note: manually enter a player’s handicap before your player registers for a tournament:

  • Go to www.fullswinggolftour.com/admin
  • Enter your Login and Password
  • Select the Go button in the Manage Members section of the Suite's main page
  • Search for your player’s name
  • Select the Player, select Modify and manuallyenter the handicap in the User Handicap Index field
  • Select Confirm

Here are some definitions to help you understand the scorecard:

  • Round TOT: Total hits per round
  • Gross Score: Number of hits taken over par
  • Net Score:  Net total minus course par
  • Round Handicap Diff: The player’s system handicap after completion of three 9 or 18 hole tournament or practice rounds

Information on FSG Indoor Club Tournament Closure Procedures

Here’s the scoop on tournament closure procedures. If your tournaments close on a Sunday, our system will automatically close them and calculate handicap on Sunday. If your tournaments close on any other day, the tournament will remain open until the following Sunday after the date of closure. If for example, Round 2 was set to close February 27th on Tuesday, it will close on Sunday, March 4th.

Please note: Even though you’ve manually closed your tournament, the handicap calculation will not be processed until the following Sunday. This is when the entire online tournaments system gets updated automatically and handicap indexes are calculated.

If you use the automatic open/close feature your tournament will automatically close for you. However, you may want to close it manually and this can be done by following the instructions below.

To manually close a tournament:

  • Go to Manage Tournaments page
  • Click on the Tournament Name you want to close
  • Click on the Status Tab
  • Click on the drop down menu and select your status to Completed
